Bay Nature Talk: Accessible Recreation

August 27 12-1pm

$0 - $5

Join Bay Nature and Bonnie Lewkowicz for a talk about accessible outdoor recreation on Wednesday, August 27 from 12pm–1pm. The Bay Area offers a vibrant array of outdoor activities—from paddling along scenic shorelines to cycling through rolling hills—but what happens when a physical mobility is a barrier? This presentation will introduce you to a variety of local adapted recreation programs that make these experiences accessible for people with physical disabilities. Discover how you can get out on the water in a kayak or sailboat, hit the trails on an adaptive cycle, scale indoor climbing walls, and more. Whether you’re looking for adventure, community, or a new way to stay active, you’ll come away inspired and informed about the possibilities that await.
