The White House Pool, managed by Marin County parks, provides easy entry to Lagunitas Creek and is surrounded by a 22-acre marshy wildlife area. A small path winds along the creek’s edge through willows. This is the perfect spot to launch a kayak or standup paddleboard or even to take a refreshing dip in the creek. A family of otters is often spotted around the bend toward Inverness Park. The area is full of birds and other wildlife.

There’s a picnic table at the edge of the creek - ideal for enjoying a snack and watching for birds and other wildlife nearby. Children will enjoy looking through willow leaves to find bright red galls of the Willow Apple Gall Sawfly (Pontania californica).
