Coastal Cleanup Day
September 19, 2026
Working together to support a Cleaner California Coast
Coastal Cleanup Day is an international event dedicated to trash clean-ups worldwide. Here in California, the event is led by the California Coastal Commission, which coordinates cleanups at sites all around the state.
Culminating our week-long "Litter Bugs Me" initiative, EAC hosts volunteers on the official Coastal Cleanup Day, Saturday, September 19th. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals (friends and family invited, too!) to join together and make a meaningful impact on the wildlife and habitats within our watershed. Community
On Coastal Cleanup Day, we’ll clean up roadsides and beach locations that have not been cleaned by Teams earlier in the week.
Things to know:
Meet at the EAC office by 9:00 am to sign in, sign a waiver, find your group/cleanup site, and pick up your supplies.
Bring your supplies and collected trash and recycling to the Whitehouse Pool parking lot (map) for weighing and tallying by 12:00 noon on Saturday the 19th.
