Overview
Does nature speak to you? Join us on the Muddy Hollow trail as we move slowly and listen deeply to her many voices.
Sound is an intimate way of knowing the world that builds connection and empathy at a very deep level. Over the course of this walk, we will become a community of listeners through a series of exercises that strengthens our listening muscles and we’ll learn more about how sound enters our bodies and informs our sense of the world.
Muddy Hollow has a wonderful array of sounds that vary with the season and the weather – distant ocean waves, flowing water in the creek, wind rippling through the trees, shore and land birds, insects and more. It is different and unique at each moment and even in the quietest of times there is plenty to listen to. Come join us!
This class is for participants age 18 and over.
