Join ecologist David Lumpkin for a morning search for migratory birds at Cypress Grove Preserve.
This event offers a unique opportunity to connect with nature and learn more about the diverse bird species found in the area.
We’ll be checking Tomales Bay for the odd jaeger, combing through flocks of returning sparrows, and keeping an ear out for warbler chip notes.
The walk will be 1-2 miles on mostly (but not entirely) flat trails. Bring your binoculars, and a spotting scope, if you’re happy to carry it. Though fall usually has the most pleasant weather along the coast, bring layers and be prepared for fog and wind.
