During this interactive hiking experience participants will be given the opportunity to role play various medical emergencies that may occur when hiking or traveling.
The group will work as a team to provide appropriate care, and will learn by engaging hands-on with techniques for how to help. We will utilize materials that anyone can carry, and demonstrate techniques to immobilize fractures and treat common conditions that frequently occur when in the wilderness.
This will be a physically active trail-based program utilizing the Bear Valley Trail. Total hiking distance will be 6 miles.
Please note that this is NOT a certification program.
