At certain times of the year, Pacific salmon migrate up local creeks to spawn. As we discuss the biology of these remarkable fish and the restoration methods used to save them, we will also look for any signs of their presence. Environmental factors can affect their timing, but if there has been recent rainfall, there's a good chance we might witness spawning activity. Appropriate for ages 12 and older (must be accompanied by a parent or guardian). It can be very cold by the creek, so bring warm clothing and a rain jacket. Polarized glasses are also helpful for seeing the fish. Bring binoculars if you have them. No pets are allowed, except for service/companion animals. Adverse weather or poor air quality conditions may result in cancellation. Please check the calendar or text/call (415) 302-1034 two hours before the event to confirm the status. Registration is required.
